OLYMPIC STORIES
Bishwo Shahitto Kendro (the World Literature Centre) and Tower Hamlets Community Housing bring various community groups together collecting stories from local women about their sporting experiences either as participants or spectators. Professional storytellers will tell stories to groups from different ethnic backgrounds on women and sport and encourage individual women to tell and share their stories on this subject. The stories will be recorded and translated into several languages eg. Somali, French, Polish, Bengali and English. The best stories will be part of a special presentation celebrating International Women's Day. Venue: THE IDEA STORE WHITECHAPEL, 321 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BU. 2pm-5pm. Adm: Free.
