The International Women of Excellence (IWoE) Awards are designed to recognise the achievement made by women who mentor others coming up behind them. Ultimately, they are sowing back into their gender.
Female mentors have never been celebrated or awarded before and during International Women's Month is the best time to do just that.
These can be women of all ages and races. They could be born in the UK or abroad and can even reside abroad. What they all have in common is that far from pulling the ladder up behind them when they reach the top of their game, these female mentors reached back and extended a helping hand to the next person in line. The nominees do not all have to be the CEO of their own company; they could be working in an organisation and be nominated by someone within that organisation. These individuals and organisations are shaping the women-friendly culture by benefiting other women in the UK or beyond.
From women who has shown unparalleled levels of selflessness and humanity have help lessen the suffering of others (Humanitarian Women of Excellence, to those who have triumphed in the face of adversity (Victorious Woman of Excellence) yet still has the time and compassion to reach out to others - these are without doubt ladies with special qualities and strong character.
The IWoE Awards, which is staged during International Women's Month, (March) celebrates Sisterhood, but with the extra emphasis of woman helping one another.
From sister to friend or neighbour Do YOU know a woman who has achieved her ambition but gives of herself and her talent freely to others? Are you willing to nominate them?
